![]() Holy Family Parish is pleased to have a Conference of the Society of Saint Vincent De Paul. Our Conference is a member of the council of Oklahoma. Begun March 23, 1999, Holy Family's Conference receives several calls weekly from families and individuals who are hungry, without shelter, water, electricity, or gas, and / or with various other needs. We minister to them by bringing food, working out agreements with landlords and utility companies, and providing referrals to resources in the community that may provide help. In all of its efforts, the Conference to help people help themselves to become independent, more fully functional, improve their quality of their life, and to know God's love for themselves. While making these efforts, we fulfill the obligation to protect the valuable gifts of our supporting donors. Our Conference meets the 1st and 3rd Sundays at the Holy Family Church. All are welcome to join and attend meetings. Meetings include spiritual discussion and sharing of concerns regarding cases. Donations of usable food, money, and time are always gratefully accepted. It has been said "If you want to feel the presence of Christ, attend Mass. If you want to see the face of Christ, serve the poor." For more information, please call the parish office. |
